Chakra Healing
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel and refers to the seven energy centres that function as pumps or valves regulating the flow of energy through our body. Chakras are said to be points of energy in the astral body and so are linked to what we would call the aura. It’s as though we open and close these valves on the astral level and this affects how we experience the world.
They interact with the body through the endocrine and nervous systems. Each of the seven chakras is associated with a part of the body and particular functions within the body. Your consciousness does not just live in your brain - it fills your entire body - and through your consciousness you can communicate with every organ. Stress can create a blockage in the energy field which then creates a symptom on the physical level.
Knowledge of the chakras allows you to develop the relationship between your consciousness and your body giving you a better understanding of how everything you think and do affects your wellbeing. Bringing the chakras into alignment and balance can help the healing process.
